This page explains everything you need to know before donating to Plaster for the Soul how your donation is used, your rights as a donor, how we handle payments securely, and how to request a refund or cancel a recurring donation.

Section 1 How Your Donation Is Used

Every donation made to Plaster for the Soul goes directly toward supporting women in the Druze community facing illness, disability, domestic hardship, or emotional crisis.

Your donation funds:

  • Individual and group counseling and emotional support programs

  • Community workshops and empowerment events

  • Legal rights guidance and referral services

  • Practical support for women in need, including social welfare referrals and financial guidance

  • The operational costs of running our programs, including our team, volunteers, and facilities

We are committed to using donations responsibly and transparently. We do not use donations for purposes other than those listed above without informing our donors.

 

Section 2 Tax Deductibility

Plaster for the Soul holds a Certificate of Proper Management from the Registrar of Associations, Ministry of Justice, Israel.

Under Israeli law specifically Article 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance donations made to certified public institutions in Israel may entitle the donor to a tax credit. Plaster for the Soul is working toward obtaining Article 46 certification, which allows donors to receive a tax credit for their donation.

Once Article 46 certification is in place, donors who are Israeli residents will be entitled to a tax credit of 35% of the donated amount, subject to a minimum donation threshold set by Israeli tax law.

If you require a donation receipt for tax purposes, please contact us after your donation and we will provide one.

Note: Tax benefits depend on your personal tax situation. We recommend consulting a tax professional for advice specific to your circumstances.

 

Section 3 Payment Security

Under Israeli law the Protection of Privacy Law and Israeli Consumer Protection Law Plaster for the Soul is responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring that your payment information is processed securely

  • Not storing your card details on our own systems

  • Using a trusted and certified payment processor for all transactions

  • Informing you clearly of the amount you are donating before you confirm payment

By choice, Plaster for the Soul also commits to the following standards from EU payment security guidelines and PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), because we believe your financial information deserves the highest level of protection:

  • All donation transactions on our website are processed over a secure encrypted HTTPS connection

  • We use a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor your card details are handled entirely by the payment provider and never stored on our servers or databases

  • You will receive an automatic payment confirmation by email immediately after your donation is processed

  • If a payment fails or cannot be processed, we will notify you and no charge will be made to your account

 

Section 4 Refund Policy

We understand that mistakes happen and that circumstances change. Our refund policy is as follows:

One-time donations: If you made a donation by mistake, or donated the wrong amount, please contact us within 14 days of the transaction through our Contact Us page. We will review your request and, where possible, issue a full refund to your original payment method within 7 to 14 business days.

Recurring donations: If you have set up a recurring monthly donation and wish to cancel it, you may do so at any time by contacting us through our Contact Us page. Cancellation requests received before the next scheduled payment date will prevent the next charge. Cancellation requests received after a payment has already been processed will be applied to the following month.

Donations made by bank transfer: Refunds for bank transfer donations are handled on a case by case basis. Please contact us directly.

When refunds are not possible: In some cases, a donation may have already been committed to a specific program or activity and cannot be refunded. We will always inform you clearly if this is the case and work with you to find an appropriate solution.

 

Under Israeli law the Consumer Protection Law Plaster for the Soul is responsible for the following:

  • Clearly disclosing the refund policy before you complete your donation

  • Processing approved refunds within a reasonable timeframe

  • Not imposing unfair or hidden conditions on refund requests

By choice, Plaster for the Soul also commits to the following EU consumer protection principles, because we believe donors deserve fair and transparent treatment:

  • We will never make it difficult or confusing to cancel a recurring donation

  • We will acknowledge every refund request within 48 hours, even if the final resolution takes longer

  • We will never charge a fee for cancelling a recurring donation or requesting a refund

  • If we are unable to process a refund for any reason, we will explain clearly why and offer an alternative such as redirecting the donation to a future program of your choice

 

Section 5 Other Ways to Give

Not all donations need to be financial. Plaster for the Soul also welcomes:

Donating items: We accept donations of goods that support our programs and community events. Please contact us before sending items to confirm what is currently needed and arrange delivery or collection.

Donating your time or skills: Professionals who wish to donate their expertise such as therapists, lawyers, doctors, teachers, or event organisers are warmly welcomed. Please contact us or visit our Careers page to express your interest.

 

Section 6 Donor Rights

As a donor to Plaster for the Soul, you have the following rights:

Under Israeli law the Protection of Privacy Law and Consumer Protection Law Plaster for the Soul is responsible for ensuring:

  • You receive a receipt or confirmation for every donation you make

  • Your personal and payment information is kept secure and not shared with third parties

  • You are informed of how your donation is used

  • You can cancel a recurring donation at any time without penalty

  • You can request the deletion of your personal data, subject to legal record-keeping obligations

By choice, Plaster for the Soul also commits to the following additional donor rights based on EU standards and nonprofit best practice, because we believe every person who supports us deserves complete transparency:

  • You have the right to ask us at any time how your specific donation was used

  • You have the right to receive our annual impact report showing how funds were spent

  • You have the right to update or correct your personal information in our records

  • You have the right to opt out of any communications from us at any time

  • You will never be pressured or contacted repeatedly to give more than you are comfortable giving

  • If our organisation were ever to close or merge with another organisation, we would inform all donors and ensure all donated funds are used for the same purpose they were given
